(45 km from Palakkad) Kanhirapuzha Garden lies on the valley of Western Ghats. Vettilacholas an evergreen forest is immediately beyond the Dam reservoir. The Vakkotan Mala (Hill) gives a natural backdrop to the garden. The reservoir is surrounded by hills and during winter season the mountain will be covered with mists.

(50 km from Palakkad) A popular spot, the dam is built across the Cherukunnath River, a tributary of the Mangalam River. Other attractions: Kunchiyarpathy – 20 km from Mangalam Dam Thippali Waterfalls: from Mangalam Dam 10 km, Allingal waterfalls from Mangalam Dam 14 km etc.

 (40 km from Palakkad) Is in the foot hills of Western Ghats. This point offers an excellent view of the mighty hills. Other attractions: Paleolithic Rock Art, at Vellaramkunnu near Chulliyar Dam Muthalamada Grama Panchayath, the adjacent Chappakkad Tribal Colony.

 (25 km from Palakkad) Is a dam in Palakkad District of Kerala. This dam is constructed across the Walayar River which is a tributary of Kalpathypuzha River. It was completed and opened in 1964. It is one of the major sources of irrigation in the region. Most of the water in this river is passed to the inner places of Walayar. The dam holds a larger reservoir area, and the persons living near the reservoir area utilizes the water from the Walayar dam as their main water source for irrigation. The reservoir area is very scenic and has better scope for tourism. Other attractions: Rare water birds are commonly seen here/Nagalingeswara Temple.

This Dam is constructed across the tributaries of Ayalur River namely Meenchadypuzha and Padipuzha. It has an ayacut of more than 12 hectares in Chittur & Alathur Taluks. A beautiful garden is arranged besides the dam. The dam and graden are in the way of Nemmara – Neliyampathy Road. The dam is situated 40 Kms away from the Palakkad.
